Libby joins the Acting MFA Class of 2025 at Northwestern University. She is 1 of 12 students attending the fully-funded program based in downtown Chicago, with Anna D. Shapiro and Sandra Marquez at the helm. Check out Libby’s Acting MFA vlog series where she has documented the journey.

Me No Know Korean

Libby plays the lead role of ‘ME’ in a reading of Ashil Lee’s new play Me No Know Korean at Lincoln Center, directed by Aya Ogawa.

Romeo & Juliet & Layla & Majnun
@ Columbia Univ.

Libby plays Juliet in Chaesong Kim’s (directing MFA) final graduation project at Columbia University. The project is a reimagining of Romeo and Juliet’s famous balcony scene, exploring questions such as: what makes a canon, what is originality, who claims authorship, and how a story travels through time and space. Gwangju
w/ Dimo Kim Musical Theatre Factory

Libby plays the role of Street Angel in the Gwangju musical concert. This production will be an English translated, condensed version of the Korean musical of the same name, that details the horrific events of the 1980 Gwangju Massacre. This will also be the largest theatre production that Libby has been a part of, taking place at the 500 seat 787 Seventh Theatre. She is overjoyed and deeply moved to be part of telling the story of her culture and history. You can learn more about Dimo Kim and his efforts to bring Korean stories to a US audience here.

JULY 2022
Love (Among Dreamers)
@ Columbia Univ.

Libby plays the lead role of Cleo in Love (Among Dreamers). This is the first production of the new play written by MFA student Greg T. Nanni (developed under the supervision of playwrights David Henry Hwang, Lynn Nottage, Will Eno), and directed by MFA student Phoebe Brooks. Hamlet Isn't Dead, Animus Theatre Co.

Libby joins the self proclaimed "NYC's 472nd-best theatre company" Hamlet Isn't Dead. They are now back in theatres rehearsing for their three full scale productions a year!
